The same size frame also chambers 44 mag. Dan Wessons 45 Colt will handle Buffalo Bore loads. The same frame is also used for the Rowland 460, which also chambers 45 Win Mag. The Rowland is more powerful than 45+P and the 45 Win Mag is as powerful as 44 Magnum. The short answer is YES.

I saw a LAR Grizzly in 45 Win Mag for sale in your neck of the woods last year for $650. The stainless needed polishing but overall it was in decent shape. I couldn't find any ammo online for it or I would have attempted to buy it. Cool guns and cool cartridge!

Pushing my Like and Appreciate "button"
$650 for a LAR Grizzly is fabulous. I paid around 1500 each for my several. Now they are going for 2400 or more on Gunbroker. I find 45 Win Mag often at gun shows. I just bought 200 rounds for $160 plus shipping and tax on Gunbroker. Underwood always has some. I have 357 Mag conversion kits also. They sell for about $800 but 357 ammo is easier to find. There are also 45acp and 10mm kits.
BTW, I left out 45 Super as a round that chambers in the DW 460.

Are Dan Wesson 45 colt revolvers rated for +p ammunition?
Short answer - No, since there is no such thing as a legitimate +P .45 Colt.
Welll... Not +P per se, but...Me thinks the loads in the Manuals for Contenders and Rugers...should also be Just Fine, in any arm intended for the 445... huh??
