Palmer made guns have the most complaints about quality, look the gun over good, is there any play in the cylinder, if you can shoot it before buying it. If you like it buy it dont shy away just because it is made in Palmer. I have heard good things from many people that really like thier guns even if made in Palmer.

I would buy a "Palmer" gun if it was fitted well and priced right.
I have seen some pretty lousy "Monson" guns out there so I don't think quality issues were always limited to one era, or location of manufacturing.
Revolvers are so forgiving of bad fitting and loose tolerances that some of the worst examples still turn in respectable accuracy.
Most people would be very surprised and disheartened to learn how "out of spec" their favorite guns actually are.
An hour or two "miking" their beloved piece would have them motivated to quickly sell or trade.
The reason I like Dan Wesson's so much is because there are so many features in the design that lend to accuracy.
Best of all, these are included at a price the average guy can swing.

Ben
