I have sold several on Gunbroker in the last 8 months, all model 15's, last one was a good shooter but had scrapes in the finish and some external pitting and it sold for $265. All the others sold for over $300 and when you consider FFL fees and Shipping is going to add at least another $50 to those prices it sounds as if your pawn shop is a good deal. I did include a barrel wrench and BC gap gauge with mine however.
If you want it to use and have, it's a good deal. If you want it to re-sell and make money you will either have to hold it for awhile or get the price down.

I thought you said $300…I'm confused. I was going to say that $300 is great price for a slightly used Model 15-2 with an 8″ barrel…$225 is much better.
IT HAS BEEN SITTIN' TOO LONG AND THEY LOWERED THE PRICE.
THE FIRM PRICE IS $225 AS IS, OR $300 WITH A 7 DAY RETURN.
I AM OFFERING $200 THIS SATURDAY @ THE END OF THE DAY.
MIGHT GET A BITE!

If you lose a Monson 15-2 8" over the difference between $200 and $225, you might hate yourself. He who hesitates is lost, and the $25 difference is about 1 box of ammo. If you miss out on this one, PLEASE don't post about it, I might injure myself! Good luck.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Back in 1995 I found a 357max in a pawn shop, a Monson gun, looked unfired, but dusty with a $200 price on it. I asked why the price, when a mod. 15 beside it was $300. He told me that they don't make bullets for that gun any more. I asked if he'd take $165.(all the cash I had) He said only on the condition I can't bring it back. When I came back to pick it up; I told him it would fire 357 mags. He said that he had had it for 2 years and was well rid of it. I'm still shooting it regularly; have added a 2nd 8", a 6" and a 10" barrel to the collection from Ebay before the ban.
