OK, here's what I did…mine is a Pistol Pac that holds 6 large-frame Dan Wessons. It was very easy to make.
I dunno…I have a hunch that when you shut that lid, something's gonna go CLANK!
BTW, did you guys know they once made a Bond movie in IHMSA's safe?? 😛

There are two layers of foam, the two top guns go underneath.
Nice one Steve...that is EXACTLY what I need. Think I can get them to move the gold somewhere else?
Which Bond movie was that?
The air marshals don't even bother to go on my flights...they are too embarrassed.
"Plus he's got that whole “the quickest reload is having a 2nd gun” thing covered."
And a third, fourth, fifth, sixth gun. Always bring enough guns.

Well, I just couldn't let project "Barbie" Pistol Pack die without a little more effort on the stiff foam... I cut it a little larger than usual to give the fabric a little more room to flow--looks like it is going to work fine. I'll post some build pics if you guys are interested-kind of a mini tutorial on how to build a high quality PP knockoff (The hot wire cutter is the key...)

Update …. …..
OK, here's a quick rundown of the process I use for making cases. It all starts on the flatbed scanner--I use the scan documents in black/white setting.
Just cut these out and trace them onto your foam with a sharpie (they are EXACT copies of the parts, so you may need to trace wide depending on your foam type)
Now I cut these out with the hot wire cutter, but you can use a razor blade / fillet knife / etc to get the job done. Now just put some fabric over the foam and leave a little bit of room for the parts to sink in and......
This used less than one yard of cloth which I found in the clearance bin for $5/yard. If you have some spare time and a little effort, your DW can have a new home!

I don't know how I missed seeing this thread updated, but...
...GREAT LOOKING PAC!! Nice work on that, it really looks clean, crisp & professional.
I hadn't thought of scanning the pieces first, I do suppose that would really help with getting the cuts looking their best. Where did the little bag come from that's under your buckle?

I'd like to tell you that little blue bag was a DW exclusive item for special customers......However, it is in reality just a small jewelery bag you can get at any jewelery store. I picked up a bunch of them originally for some Ruger cylinders, but quickly noticed they were the perfect size to put a DW buckle in. They add a little extra touch of class to the Pack.
That red velvet liner came out so nice I went back and picked up some more of it for a few other cases. I know it isn't DW gold, but man it looks HOT!!!

Define mini-pac.
If you look at the original advertising for a Mini-pac, it is a two barrel gun in a smaller Pistol Pac case. I've never seen one of the smaller cases.

I do have one of the small cases. I'm going to cut the foam to accomodate my Lil' Dan.
I paid a lot for it ($200) because the seller had never seen one before. Neither had I, now that I think of it. It's pretty much pristine and the top layer of foam has never been cut to the profile of any gun.
