regarding polishing Stainless. If you are talking about a blue shroud with a high polish SS barrel, I think it would be beautiful. Is the barrel already finished smoothly enough to take a high polish?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I did read this thread before. The barrel is the new one I got with the Comp shroud for my 44 Mag and the barrel is new stainless with the factory "flat" finish, not nearly so smooth as a stainless gun. I'm thinking I'd have to get someone with a buffing wheel and use jeweler's ruge to polish it. Don't know.

You would have a fair amount of prep work to get it looking right, I think. That high polish stainless really depends on a pretty good surface to start with
