probably a dumb question but don't know the answer so have to ask, several years ago my house was broken into and several of my Dan Wesson revolvers were stolen along with a bunch of colt 45s and numerous other pistols. my question is this, I still have a 22 revolver with scope and parts of the 357 revolvers that the theives missed including a few barrels, would it be possible to replace the barrel on the 22 with a 357 barrel and purchase a 357 cylinder and convert it? carried a 357 Dan Wesson in my years on the police force and would love to have another. Thanks

I am sorry to hear of your losses, but converting a .22 to a .357 is not practical. .22s are rimfire, so the frame would not work for a centerfire cartridge. And Dan Wesson .22 barrels have different threads than .357 barrels to prevent mixing them up.

Welcome to DWF, as you have been advised the .22>.357 conversion is not practical. The .22 is normally a more desirable gun,you may be able to work a swap where you are $$$+. I'd keep the .22 and buy a.357 frame.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
