Hello again guys,
Still on the prowl for a DW .357 revolver, but it seems that 714s and 715s are pretty scarce. I have come across a guy selling a blued DW .357, but he doesn't know the model. It is blued, manufactured in Monson, adjustable rear sight, straight shroud, recessed barrel nut, and the serial is 241xxx. That sounds like a 15-2 right? He tells me it's in good condition and supposing it is a 15-2, about how much should I pay for it?
Thanks!
As little as possible. lol. Yes,it would be a 15-2 made in 1979 I think. Where I live $400 would be great, 500 standard, and more would be too much. That would be for a gun in very fine condition. Sales tax is 6% and $5 background check unless you have a cc permit. Gunbroker would be pretty close by the time you pay shipping, fee to a ffl, and 3 or 4% if you use plastic.Buying local you get what you see. Be picky about condition. Lots of nice dans out there, don't settle. There is really not too much premium for "minty, 98% , almost nib" . Most 357's have a couple of scratches on the sideplate from the ejector star (be careful when ejecting cases.). Good luck.
