Hi all, I'm considering buying a Dan Wesson 445 super mag from a family friend and was wondering what a fair price for it should be. It says it was made in Palmer, Massachusetts and the serial number starts with 445S. I believe it's got an 8-in barrel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Regarding pictures, that is the only one I have currently of the pistol in question. I don't believe it has its barrel tool, box or papers but it does come with around 100 brass. Some loaded ammo on top of that. It will also come with bullet molds and reloading dies.

That is a 6" Compensated barrel assembly, which requires a special lengthened barrel tool.
I'm thinking $1,000 to $1,200 depending on condition and accessories included. Ammo is a couple bucks a round.

I gave $2375 (cost, tax, s/h, & xfer fees) for my 445 Mini Pack (8VS with an EWK compensator & a 10V BA)+orig box for 10V barrel+ 70 pcs .445 brass.

11/26/2022 a 7445VH6C sold for $2K
3/29/23 a 7445V8C sold for $1600
Non-compensated models are running $1300-1600
10" 7445s are running $2200-2650 since I have been recordkeeping

4/19/22 so just over a year ago. I always seem to overpay because of my raging DWAS!!
