Does anyone use Freedom Munitions .357 ammo? If so what are your experiences?

No I have shot a lot of it. I get inconsistent misfires. Recently ,out of a box of fifty, I will get 8 -to 10 misfires in double action.
I am wondering about the primers they use.

May want to loosen your grip screw a little bit, that can cause light hits in DA.

Did that. It's only happens with this ammo. Other ammo shoots fine.

Sounds like that answers any questions about the stuff.
OTOH, sounds like great practical training ammo. When I'm training with buddies, we load for each other, and once in a while toss in a dummy, low-power or Speer plastic round. With the stuff you're using, it sounds like this unpredictability is a built-in feature.

I contacted Freedom Munitions and asked them about the primers used. They said they are not available to the public, whatever that means.
But yes, learning to shoot past misfires is a positive, distracting because of the tendency to break concentration on the target.

Have you tried this ammo in other guns? It may be good training to have FTFs, but I doubt you bought it for that purpose. You bought it to shoot, so it should. If it is the gun it should be fixed. If it is the ammo it should be either returned (not an easy thing to do) or just avoided in the future. Just my two cents on the subject.

I use their ammo in 9mm and 45acp. in various various models (Springfield XD, Cz PO7, S&W 469) no issues .
The 357 mag ammo is the only one I have had problems with. It might be just me.
Has anyone else tried this ammo?
