I shot the 7445 today with 300g Sierra SP ammo. Not that bad, in fact it felt really good! I used the 8VH Comp BA with a scope but didn't hit much of what I was aiming at. I fired free hand standing as I didn't have a gun rest to use and maybe the scope needs to be sighted in. Guess a 2 foot group isn't very good. But at least I shot it.

SMF,
The long 44 will make the trip. He's already asking "are we there yet?" I reloaded some of the nickel case 357 Mag today with 158g lead FN 4.9g HP38. Should I have lubed the cases first. They seemed to push into the dies a bit harder that the brass cases. Hope I didn't damage amything. I'm going to reload some 44 Mag for next Sunday also. I have about 35 445 SM shells left to use.

Mike,
Sure thing. I went to the PGL north of Folgelsville just west of Allentown, PA. I live in Emmaus, PA near Allentown. They have a 50 & 100 yard range with about 10 shooting tables. You can also shoot clay birds at an adjacent area.
Send me PM sometime and we'll hook up.

Ed,
If you have carbide 357 dies you did not damage anything. The nickel cases are harder and do take more effort to resize than the brass. If you do not have carbide dies, by now you would have realized your error in not lubing. You would have a stuck case in the die and be looking like this guy.

Mike,
As you will soon find out I lead a life of turmoil. Self employed label printer with an unpredictable schedule. My Dad's going in the hospital Wednesday so I have to get a bunch done before then and next weekend is full already. How short a notice can you handle? AND what DW's do you have? I have 22M, 15-2s, 44 Mags, & 445SM. I have DWAS bad.............

Ed, I'm down to 2 DW's, A 15-2 and a 22. I had a 15-2 PP but foolishly sold it.
I'm currently working for the state (unemployment) so I don't have a very rigid schedule. I am also a printer by trade, last job was for a direct mail company ( 16 yrs.)
when the economy went south so did our business. Credit card companys were our biggest clients, up to 12 million pieces of mail a day.
anyway if the wife doesn't have any plans I'm pretty open.

You can use case lube with the carbide dies and they work a little easier. I have never done it, but I know guys that do.
Seems backwards to me. I use the carbide die as i don't like to clean lube off cases.
