What would you guys think of this? I see Gripper's being sold on eBay for prices higher than current retail price is.

Do you think there is enough of a market to bring them back? I haven't been following Dan Wesson revolvers long, but I do see an interest in this grip, and a higher interest in the revolvers themselves.

Thoughts please?

I would like to see them bring them back because I certainly don't want to pay eBay prices for them!  Not sure they will though.

I'd love to see grippers come back, but particularly for Large Frames.  I'd trade all my presentation grips for them.

I believe there would be a market for them. Current MSRP on Grippers is about $35, but it would be nice to be able to buy them.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

How can there be an MSRP if there are none available?

I was kinda wondering the same.

There may be a small limited market for the relatively small number of DW enthusiasts out there, but not enough for Layman to start up the molding machine and add it back into their product line (especially for a revolver line that is out of production).  I'm surprised Hogue still producing but I'm glad they are.

http://www.pachmayr.com/home/gripper-grids.php

Grippers are current production for Colt, Charter, Rossi, Taurus, S&W, and Ruger. Pricing starts at $35.50.

If the molds exist, and DW has actually resumed production of revolvers, along with the significant number of "legacy" revolvers out there, why not? Pachmayr has Grippers as current items in 14 varieties for Colt revolvers, is Colt manufacturing revolvers these days?

Production of something like this is not constant, they are producing and distributing/warehousing a batch of grips for, let's say Rossi Small Frame, then moving on to a Ruger or S&W or Taurus, etc.

The factory, employees, equipment, supply chain, distribution network, etc. all ALREADY EXIST, and I'd bet money that those old DW Gripper molds still do too. No harder to do a short run of DW Grippers than it would be for a Charter Arms Bulldog Tracker, which as TWO styles available.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
