I took the rear sight apart and the little spring in the sight shot out the screw. I got lucky and found the 2.5 mm screw. It has a ball on one end and a slotted screw drive end on the other. Which way does it go in? To me the ball should rest on the cuts of the adjusting screw for windage. But then why is it threaded and have a slot for a screwdriver?

How does the screw go in the sight? Is it loose or is it screwed into the sight? The threads are messed up a little.

P M  superdan if you don't get any other answers.  he is a gunsmith that is VERY

knowledgeable on DW revolvers. He is always willing to help out a fellow DW owners.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

That look similar to a retainer latch screw which crews into the little hole in the front of the crane assembly?

This is another link where the picture width is causing the text of the post to run behind the right hand column.

I discovered something about this.  I use FireFox. There is an add-in for FF called image zoom which I installed a long time ago.  I right-clicked on the image and selected zoom-out, and bingo the image was a little smaller and the text was restored to within the boundaries of the post column.

I ordered a Millett sight as the DW one has side to side movement in the base of the sight.

As for big pic taking over the page, I posted these https://www.danwessonforum.com/?page_id=3/revolvers/large-frame-disassembly-tutorial-pics/ and this pic last night and the mulit pic's I posted turned out in a different format.

Link to  addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/139

It works, I just installed it and I can now zoom out and read the secrete message behind the pic.

Here's something to look at.  I think it happens during a picture-add when you select "middle" for the positioning.  It then seems to ignore the size specified.

I did that once (selected middle) because someone said it would solve the problem of text, that should be below a pic, turning up at the right.

I hope this helps you track it down.

Thanks, I went in & reattached the pic in the middle position. It looks fixed on my end now, it is ok on yours?

Yes it is, but it's in the left-justified position, so I don't understand what's going on here.

I hope you do.
