I have a M15with a 4 inch barrel that I want to put a JPoint red dot on. I have one on a M 57 S&W that I love with the adapter from jpoint that fits in the rear site groove it sets low and really works great. I am asking if you think my DW could be drilled and tapped in the same spot on the frame using the one hole where the where the rear sight is hole is and getting a gun smith to drill And tap two more to fit that adapter. Do you think it would work?

I am not familiar with the J point so I will have to leave that to others. I do want to mention though if that plan doesn't work out for you give a look at EWK to the left. He has some really cool mounting options. Good luck with whatever you settle on and we will want pictures and range report of course.

I have talked to EWK and if this does not work out I am planning on getting a EH shroud drilled and tapped for the 410 weaver mount but it runs all the way to the front sight the JPoint sets in the rear sight groove and mounts the red dot at the back of the gun with out any added length or weight to the front. My M 57 S&W looks really good and I had a Simply Rugged holster made to fit it and it works great. EWK does great work he drilled and tapped my 8 inch shroud for my 741 41 mag. so I could put a scope on it. Thanks for the replys.
