i have not changed barrels in a long time. When i changed from the 8" barrel to the 4" i noticed the shroud could rotate. Upon inspection i noticed that the 8" has a roll pin in the end to keep this from happening and the other two do not. Correct me if i am wrong but shouldn't that pin be in the frame of the pistol or am i missing this pin from the other two barrels?

Thanks,

Chris

I needed a roll pin recently for the same purpose.  I went to an auto parts store, rambled thru his collection of roll pins and found the one I needed.  He didn't even charge me for it.  He just said come back to see me.

You are correct, the pin should stay with the frame. You may need to clean the hole in your 8" shroud and or you  may need a new pin altogether. Good luck.

LB is right.

Just another reason to completely disassemble and thoroughly clean the BA after every use. A touch of oil on the BA should prevent this.

i removed said roll pin from barrel and cleaned a small bur off the "barrel" end of the pin and all is well in my world again. After reading about stuck barrel nuts and then this i will be doing a better job at cleaning....thanks!
