Hey everyone, I’m new here and just put my first model 15 on layaway. Sorry, no pics. I forgot to take any before they put it in the safe. Since it’s the weekend I can’t call dw because it’s the weekend. Was hoping someone here might have some info. It is a model 15 w/ 6” vh barrel, blued with a small engraving right above the left side of grip. Gold inlayed, it appears to be a mason or shriners logo. Don’t know if this is factory or someone had this done after purchase. The serial number is SPG-00024. The guy at my lgs said it was some kind of limited run, but I know with my little experience that I can’t believe everything I here from a salesman. Thank you for any info and I promise as soon as I pick her up I will post some pics.

That is a custom serial number, and I would agree that this is part of a limited production run. Custom, and customer requested serial numbers were fine with DW, and we have seen some guns out of what appear to be specialty runs with engraving.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yours is the third one of these I've heard of now. They were a
commemorative gun of some sort. I think there's another thread here
regarding these guns, but I can't find it. I've got these not-so-great pics from one on a GB auction last October. This is what was with the ad...
"Shriner's logo in gold on the left side with the abbreviation C.S.S.A. and the words Omaha '81. S/N is SPG000**."
Here's the pics. We'd sure love to see pics of yours when you get it home.

You will love it! Though know if unfired and you have thoughts of a shooter this one maybe one to sell for profit to purchase a couple more shooters. I have an unusual Serial number one in 44 mag that I couldn't shoot. though i do have others like that get a work out now and again. Enjoy however you decide to do it. and out door pics work well.
