So I have looked around with no luck on this. Sorry if I just missed it somehow. My shrouds are stamped Dan Wesson Arms, 357 Magnum Ctg. Since my frame is Monson, I assume these are from this era.
Here is an example
Online I see this marking, but can't find out what era it is.Does not look like EWK markings either.
So I am sure someone here that has many more DWs than me has a clue.
Thanks

Yes ... Norwich did the one-line etching. Monson did the two-line rollmark and Palmer was a one-line rollmark.
Ok. Thanks one more question. Did the font of the etching change? Maybe with the CZ change over?
The stainless right above and the blued in my 1st post seem to both be etched, but different fonts. Just trying to nail this down. The blued barrel bothers me because I have not seen others like it. In the case of that gun, the frame is a Monson era.
Thanks again

Yes, the marking did change. The blue shroud is representative of pre-CZ production, but if you were to order an "old style" shroud from CZ whether blue or SS, I believe you will still see this style of marking. The marking on the stainless gun and shrouds in the last photo above is representative of current CZ production.

Thanks a bunch. Just trying to figure it all out as I am looking to buy more barrels at least. My new addiction....and it is bleeding me dry...LoL
