Greetings
Now that is one test I would not have thought about.
I do know I have a 10" .357 DW barrel that does not shoot my favorite 180 grain gas check load as well as the other 10" barrel. But then that may not be a fair comparisson as the load was tailored made for the first barrel and not the second. Maybe all the 2nd barrel needs is .2 grains up or down of 296 to get the harmonics working right. Or maybe a little more tension.
But as far as shrouds go... never did a comparisson between a heavy or a standard. Again barrel nut torque may be all the difference from one to another.

I was actually thinking about that design of the silhouette shroud and their holes .. I know those holes are intended to reduce the weight of the gun to within the rules of silhouette events.. and also to reduce the heat build up due to shooting so many rounds in a short time.. and so I was wondering if the barrels got an indirect benefit from the effects of the shroud by allowing them to be more accurate, during rapid firing of them in such a short amount of time.. Just wondering..
I also know that different powder types and amounts will drastically effect accuracy.. I was looking at a chart of that and couldn't dig it back out to post here..sorry Mike..
