Got into the office this morning and sitting on my desk was a USPS Express Mail box from Prescott Arizona.

Inside was a Simply Rugged Sourdough for my 2.5" Dan Wesson 14-2.

First impressions are that its a well stitched, nice heavy leather, well molded holster (and I happen to dig the color).

So I stuffed my roscoe in the leather. It was pretty tight (but it'll be fine after spending the night with my gun in a plastic bag stuffed in it it'll be just right).

I put the holster on and it fit nice.

But all along the plan was to convert it to an IWB with spring steel belt clips so I mounted the clips …

and here it is in the pants …

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Its well made and should last longer than I do. I've read comments by others claiming that the quality of Simply Rugged holsters has slipped over the years, if thats the case the early ones must be freakin' awesome.

Ok, I was going to correct a spelling error and try to futz with the formatting a bit but for the life of me I can't find an "edit" button.

There's an edit button on my reply here, but why can't I edit the original post?

There, how's that?Laugh One good pic posting tip to use is to use the "middle alignment" option when posting multiple pics with test in between.Wink  It's common here for the edit button to be invisible in the first post ina thread...not exactly sure why that is.

The holster looks great, thanks for posting theCool Pics & story. I bet that it is just as comfortable as it looks.occasion

Thanks Charger Fan occasion

If you could also fix the word "molded" (I spelled it "moldeed").

I'm honestly surprised how comfortable the holster is ... this is a heavy gun and it carrys very nicely.

Need to pick up some speed strips.

Done, but this is the last place to wury abut speling Laugh

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Apparently Simply Rugged is throwing in the IWB loops for free (they used to be $15 more). Dunno if this is a temporary deal or the new price, but it looks like now is the time to order if you liked one.
