Ya I know it got some lint all over, but Can anyone tell me what era this staked sight barrel is from?

That barrel/shroud belongs to a model 14-2. I believe all 14-2s have pinned sights. The model 15-2 had pinned sights in the beginning, but soon went to the interchangeable style. If I missed the mark someone will straighten me out.

You are spot on with that from what I remember.  We made 14-2 with the pinned front sight up to 1994.  If my memory is close the 14-2 and 15-2 were introduced around 75 and the interchangeable front sight was 77 on the 15-2?

I think the the 14-2 and the 15-2 shared serial number sequences , at least in the seventies and early eighties. Check against the serial number registry if you have the frame. If not, well , a shroud is still a shroud.
