My model 15-2 is the first handgun I have ever owned. It was a gift from my father so of course it has sentimental value. But besides that it is heckuva great shooter, very very accurate. My dad bought it used and it was pretty scratched up, but he hardly paid anything for it. We were both very impressed with the accuracy though. The problem though, was that when shooting .38+P or .357, you got a face full of sparks. I went ahead and ordered a new 4 inch barrel assembly from CZ which fixed the problem, and it was then that I decided the gun needed a facelift. I don't mind a few character marks as long as I am the one that put them there, but the scratches on my 15 were just ugly. I took it to a local smith and they polished and re-blued it. I also ordered an EWK parts kit and some Wolff reduced power springs and had them install the new parts when they put it back together. I also decided to order a new grip from LB Custom Grips in curly maple. Between the excellent job the smith did and the outstanding quality of the new grip, It almost looks like a brand new gun.
