I will have to try some of those techniques. I'm using some safariland comp II loaders and have noticed different loads with more "sharp edges" around the mouth of the brass interferes with the loading a bit. Using my loaders with Golden sabers is not something I would want to deal with on the range or in an emergency, I also have some winchesters from walmart, those have smooth brass edges and pop in perfectly everytime. I have tried the HK loaders but the rounds on't always pop out when I want them to. the safarilands tend to "spring" the rounds into the cylinder.
I'm not too concerned with loading the speedloaders but rather how fast I dump them into the cylinder. I still need to check out the 5stars...

One of the advantages of speed loaders is to not move your grip on you strong hand...it takes time to reestablish you gun in hand for the next shot. Also, one of the great things about DWs is you can open, pop up and close the cylinder all with your left hand.
Doesn't help much when you're left-handed.
For me, I don't use speed loaders. I figure if I need one, I haven't been careful enough with my shots.

The argument could be made that if you need a GUN, you haven't been careful enough with your LIFE. Speed loaders' greatest value is that you can store the pistol empty, then load rapidly when you're ready to put it in the holster or go hunt that noise in the kitchen.
For that task, I'll take my G17 with SureFire light.
