Pure greed I tell you. I still feel the same now as when I started this post. If there is a market someone will fill it. I know a lot of people build pacs from this practice and I guess that's the one good thing about it. But it still kills me when I see someone selling a frame without even a grip, what's next the rear sight and cylinder off too? Oh well.

Agree - it's greed. There's a couple price-gouging pack breakers (yeah, you know who you are) running around on GB and ebay. I won't give 'em the time of day no matter how much I may want a part. It fills a need so long as the prices are reasonable and the market determines the prices of parts, but most parts listings from this type of practice start off at excessively high prices. It's price gouging at it's lowest form.

I guess I will wade in. I hate to see a "original" pac broken, but I also say it is the owners choice to do as he sees fit. Pac pieces are not matched by serial number or any thing so if you build one with correct parts, whats the difference? However the First Issue pacs are numbered to match and it really would be a shame to bust one of those. Don't believe I have seen that happen yet. Just my thoughts on the subject.LB
I never really thought of it like that...my pac has the label intact with serial # for frame but you are right the barrels & shrouds are not..
