i received a very nice Dan Wesson 15-2 a few weeks ago with zebra grips, 10 inch and 15 inch barrels, and what the seller described as a “target” trigger. It is stainless and feels great (my other 15-2 trigger is great as well). My question is: Is this just a trigger from a stainless Dan Wesson, was it an option to get a stainless trigger from the factory, or were there aftermarket triggers available for 15-2’s, or is more than one of these options possible and if so are there any markings I can look for to tell? Thank you.08B363CE-2AA2-459B-931F-C770F9AA7852.jpegImage Enlarger

I have a few blue Dan's with stainless triggers.  I always assumed they were factory but can't swear to it.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

The stainless trigger is probably original to the gun. My blued Palmer 15-2 has a stainless trigger, for example. I'm not aware of aftermarket triggers, they could be out there, I'm just not aware of any.

BTW, that's a cool photo, thanks for sharing!smile

I just picked up a Palmer plant 6" fixed barrel 15-2 and it has a stainless trigger. While researching, I saw a couple of them.

I think there was no rhyme or reason for stainless triggers. After 1986 there seem to be more. You can find factory stainless triggers on eBay. They are easy to put in.  As far as "Target" triggers, they are the same as blue.

Thanks. I knew it likely wasn't actually a target trigger. I do like the look of it though.

I was able to finally round up the photos of my 3" Palmer FB 15-2's to add to this discussion...14 days later. Sorry.confusedMy blued 15-2 is obviously wearing a stainless trigger, this gun has only been fired at the factory & has not been played with since then. Ubersailer, is the gun in your photo a Palmer gun? Just curious.

My pair of FB 3" brothers...
