Howdy folks.

I finally found a DW series 15, blued with the pistol pack barrels, barrel wrench, barrel gauge, allen wrenches, extra grip and it even had the DW patch.

However, it did not come with the 'briefcase' I've seen in some photos, the whole set up was just loose on a tray at the point of purchase.

Now I'm wondering... what am I going to store all of this in?

So... just curious the types of boxes/cases some of you use, if you do not mind sharing.

Thanks.

You have several options....

1)  You can buy an original used case in the secondary market, but they get expensive.

2)  You can use pick up an old American Tourister case and tear the guts out and foam it yourself, but this will take some time and patience.

3)  You can just purchase a 4-gun handgun case like this one, which is probably your easiest and cheapest option.

I bought a pelican 1470 case and used a hot wire foam cutter to custom fit all the pieces of my pack.

Thanks for the replies folks.

harly,

just curious... but what are the used case called in the secondary market? As in, what do I search for? Dan Wesson original case? That sort of thing?

I only ask because I know some things acquire nicknames over the years, making it a pain to search for them.

SMKYTXN,

 thanks for the tip!

Just try "Dan Wesson".  There aren't that many results that come up - it doesn't take very long to go through them all.

I just use a Doskocil hard case.  I realy need to cutout the foam to make sure everything stays in place, but for now, I wrap each of the barrels in silicone gun cloths just to make sure they are protected if they move around in the case.  A four barrel set fits pretty good.
