Has anyone ever had an issue w/ the strut plunger getting stuck in their hammer?  I've got a new 715 that I just picked up and I'm having this issue.  I originally noticed my trigger jamming occasionally on double action pulls.  After taking the gun apart a few times, I've found the strut plunger stuck in the hammer twice.  I've had to tap the hammer w/ a soft faced hammer to get it out. I then tried tapping the side of the frame while the trigger was jammed and sure enough it clears the issue.  I haven't had the chance to call Dan Wesson about the issue yet but am wondering if I can just try replacing the plunger to fix the issue.

If a man designed it, and a man built it, then a man can fix it.

Two Suggestions:

1) If you bought a "new manufacture", new in box 715 that is not right, have DW fix it right. If it is used, consider having DW fix it any, or DIY it, depending on your confidence level with that kind of work.

2) Please visit New Members

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
