Eeeh no. The clamp I could find was like this one.Not good ?
Did the rest like you are writing. The plastic tool has 2 small teeth. They cut in the nut. So the nut is getting worse.
My day was very busy. I totally forgot to call for a new scrwerod. Mabey tomorrow when I pass the shop.
I have 2 friends on the rifle club. One of them got exactly the same Dan like me. The other one is a .357 supermag. They never unscrewed the nut. Poor me.

That clamp is almost certainly causing more problems, that right angle arm that slides up and down will still allow too much flexing. Absolutely need that heavy, cast solid C-clamp
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well…. that took some time.
In Europe I know now there is steel in 4.4, 8.8 , 10.9 and 12.2
The first 2 did not help at all. So I mailed a big steel company for a stronger screwrod. Why not?…. After 4 day's he mailed back that the 10.9 was special order. The 12.2 was a little problem getting only one or two rod's.
So after 3 weeks !! I had 2 rod's and 8 nuts in 10.9. The first attempt ended like the first 20 with the lower class steel. So I cried a little and put the gun in the safe for 3 day's
Today I went for a new try, wearing my new DWF shirt it must be done.
AND I DID, WoW Yeah !!!

The setup, using big nuts. The small one's got stuck on the rod's.

There it is !! I jumped in the air, ojeah….. did anyone see me? lol

Getting the nut of the barrel with the same trick. Picture below shows why. Ther eis a damage in the thread. Don't hope it Will give any problems…

Now the last problem. Finding a new nut, a propper tool and a new front sight for the one getting lost in action.
Thank for al the advice here on the board.
Edit: why are my pictures not in order with my tekst? Did my best on it now…

WOO-HOO!!
I'm sure glad to hear that you were finally able to get it apart! Once again, this proves that there's only one "right tool for the job"...in this case, a super-hard hunk of threaded steel.
I agree that you need a new nut. However, you may be able to save the threads on your barrel with a thread file (if there's one that's made fine enough). Here's an example of what I have in mind...
I have a couple of these for automotive applications & they work great. However I have yet to have the need to use one for a gun application. I can only hope that they are made in the thread pitch you are needing.

Thanks for editing my post.
I hope i will find a nut, tool and sight. When that happens I will update this topic.
Charger Fan, I will ask a very handy steel-man here in village if he can repair the thread, when needed of course. 1 thing I know , no messing around with my barrel !! Getting a nut is difficult, a barrel will never be replaced.

Congratulations!!!!!
I know that was hard on the nerves.
Of course the solution to the nut and tool is EWK... IF you can get them into the country. May have to be creative with the description of the part.

Hai there.
I ordered a wrench and a nut at Brownell's. They send me the wrench, but the nut was not permitted, I think. Could not find a front sight there.

So I still need a nut (or 2 ) and a front sight. Does anyone know a way to send it to here? ......
And the thread on the barrel. How is that called? The threaded rod used for getting the barrel free is M8 ( 8 milimeter) . But the right name for the thread ( side of nute) on the barrel is?
Mabey then I can ask somebody here in town for the tools Charger fan shows on the pictures.
Al help is .

Guys, I hope I'm not being a distraction from the main topic, but I'm wondering about a related thought...
I also have had my share of stuck barrel nuts, but I have managed to stay luckier than our Dutch friend in that the worst I've had to do is to tap the nut notch with a center punch (with pistol in vise) to get it loose.
But I'd like to quit having to worry about stuck nuts as time goes on, so I'm wondering what the concensus would be about using Anti-Seize on the threads when re-assembling the barrel assembly?
This is what I'm talking about:
Any thoughts?

Personally I can see no reason why anti-seize compound wouldn't work. However, I have never had this issue. I'm not sure why, but it may be due to the fact that I disassemble and clean after every range session and use a good gun oil like break free on the barrel nut threads.
Perhaps that would work for others.

Like Zooomb stated, I haven't had an occasion either, to bring anti-seize into the picture. I just keep my threads clean (barrel & nut), then reassemble with a few drops of light oil on the threads.

Hai all,
Can any please tell me what kind of thread there is on the
barrel (nut side) is it a Dan Wesson thread or a normal (American) one?
If i can not find a sender somwere, I have to find a other
way to get (make) a nut.
Thanks. Dutchmag.
Dutchmag, I can't help with the thread pitch on these unfortunately, but I bet that Eric could let you know. Maybe shoot him a PM, in case he's not watching this thread.

Hai all.
I mailt Eric about the tread. And after that went shopping for someone who could make a nut for me. There are 2 good company's here. But they want to have the barrel and the old nut. And when they find the time to try ……. No Way !! When the police is comming for control my stuff the gun is not in complete.
So I ordered this thing and cut it in parts. And used it as a comb to remove the iron in the tread of the barrel. It worked. Damn I am getting better.
After that i send an E-mail to Priscilla, and asked here how to get a nut and sight. Maybe I did't get the picture last time. But now I could order the nut and sight without any problems. Whoeeehaaa.
So, after some time the mailman get me a little box.
2 nut's and a sight. WHohoooo.
The wrench was already here in Holland. Much better fitting then the plastic one.
now I am the owner of a complete revolver .445 mag. A good wrench a spare nut and last but not least: A DWF -shirt.
Thanking you all for helping me. Giving ideas here on the board or the mail. Glad there are people who are sharing there knowledge with other people, even when they are on the other side of the lake.
Thank you all very much !!
ps, i hope the pic's are in line so they don't mese upp the board.
Edit: The pic'are are on the left and the tekst is on the right side of board. Can I edit that? Sorry….

Dutchmag,
The notches on the barrel nut are really messed up. Don't feel bad - I have a bunch of wrecked screws, nuts, etc laying on the floor of my gun room where I throw them when I FINALLY get them out. Because of the condition of the barrel nut this is what I would do. VERY CAREFULLY!
1) Secure the barrel in a large vise with lead or leather pads with the muzzle up.
2) Get a good light to shine right on the barrel nut.
3) With a Dremel tool with a tiny diamond bit in it try to get one of the notch sides in the barrel nut squared off. Remember the nut loosens by turning counterclockwise. If you get a good square surface then try to deepen it with the diamond bit. Take metal off the barrel nut ONLY.
4) Once you have a good squared off notch soak the muzzle and barrel nut for two days in a penetrating oil.
5) Clean off all the oil and dry the muzzle (I use my wife hand held hair dryer). Secure the barrel back in the vise with the muzzle up if possible.
6) Take a good metal pin punch and with a small hammer tap firmly with the punch all the way around the barrel nut.
7) Now get a good punch that fits in the notch you cut in the barrel nut and with your hammer tap the notch so it would be moving in a counterclockwise direction.
