Hello everyone from the land of guns and cheese (Wisconsin)!
At the gun show this past weekend, I took a trade on a Dan Wesson .357 for a piece of 9mm plastic. I love .357s and I thought this'd be a great chance to have a Dan Wesson. After trying to educate myself, I am kind of lost as far as trying to ID this revolver. Here is what I can figure out:
Serial # 357S006015
Palmer gun
Stainless Steel
5" fixed barrel measured from forcing cone to end of barrel
barrel is ported at ~the 2:30 and 9:30 positions.
Any idea what this is and more info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a 715 fixed barrel. I've never seen one ported that way from the factory so I suspect it was done by a previous owner. I think you got the better end of the trade.
