Picked up my Dan this morning, after a 30 day wait plus a 10 day vacation. I'll post some pics soon. I opened her up, side plate came right off, also barrel and grip. Looks very dry inside, needs a good clean and lube before the range trip.

i'm not sure what the red stuff was on the grip tang, was not rust, it looked like paint or marker of some sort

If I had to wait 30 days between purchases, I may not have landed half the DW's I own.
I once bought five Porkchops in one group deal. There's other guys here who have done similar buys, too.
Congrats on your new 15-2.
Judging from the looks of the action, it hasn't had many rounds down the pipe.

30 day wait? holy smokes! I've got about a 10 minute attention span. Luckily here in Texas we don't have to fool with too many restrictions.
While not exactly firearms related, in concept it kind of carries through;
My favorite comic, Ron White a native Texan says;
