Along with the barrel tool and feeler gauge, I received a small item that looks almost like a gun cleaning part, but it's too big for the .38 bore and the brass end is actually threaded.   Maybe it's a second piece for the barrel tool for a .22?  Any ideas?

Arbor for a different caliber. Measure across the smooth part & it will tell you which one.

It may be a screw-in replacement for the one in the barrel nut wrench even.

I didn't know how to use it.”

You nailed it. You have the EWK barrel wrench. (the best one in my opinion) The pilots change out for different calibers.

That is an EWK barrel tool. They come with the .22 option. That replaces the plug that goes in the barrel so the tool fits  both models.

You obviously are in the incubation period and are not showing symptoms yet. Sometimes the syndrome has a delayed onset. You need to keep that for when the fever to acquire a .22 caliber dan strikes.

I just ordered a small and large wrench.  I also ordered all pilots "just in case".

The just in case has been my thing for years now and it has paid off!   Keep the extra you Will need it.  If you need to send it off, send it here!

jenewnam, we are all thinking of your welfare. You could be at a gunshow or pawnshop and there it is. Most likely in great condition with zebrawood grips. No box or wrench and you don't want to ask if there's a wrench because it my betray you knowledge and decrease your bargaining position. When seller won't budge you play the no wrench card and offer 40 under his price. Remember this when the fever hits the first time. DWAS
