i recently bought a couple sets of DW silver medallions with the star on them, upon receipt i found that they were tiny, i mean less than half the size of normal revolver grip medallions.   I'm wondering what they are actually for?

obviously they won't work for replacing a set on an old set of grips i had, but what are they?    are they actually DW made, or are they some aftermarket trinket?    they didn't cost much, but i would like to know what they really are?

These were used in the very early DW pork chop  models, I have a Model 15 with tiny silver medalions.

No thanks, I picked up some a while back from the same seller you got yours from to replace the ones I had, they were showing a bit of wear so I popped in the new ones.

dwf member Nigel had a set of LB Custom grips made with those

medallions and it turned out pretty sweet !

they do look nice there.  i'm getting a set of grips later in the year, maybe I'll send them to him and see what happens.

Because I'm a creature of habit, I'm pretty comfortable with either a "no medallion" LB grip, or the more common DW grip, BUT an LB with that small medallion is certainly a pretty unique item.

It's kind of cool.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
