Guy's I now have my much awaited 722(M), 715, 744 collection of DW's and may get a SuperMag later but doubt it. The 715 is still NIB until weather breaks, but it will become a shooter as soon as I decide if I want a 4" or 6" for it. I have a 6" ordered for the 744 and will probably do a 6" as I have with the 722 also.
Anyway I have a very nice 15 that has just started a turn ring it is hard to see when looking at the gun in hand. Anyway I was thinking about trying to sell it to finance another DW (CBOB from Kieth) or send it off to have it Armoloy coated and to heck with having a safe queen CBOB. I could not shoot the CBOB much as the slide slamming the frame just kills my arthritic hands. However I could use the money for one of the SuperMags or just spend it on ammo components and shoot more.
So what is the advice here? I am leery of selling the gun as I have about $650 invested with new VH6 & barrel, a used VH4 with new barrel, and original 6" V shroud and some new springs. The gun is a dream to shoot and out shoots my S&W 686 PP 6" w/o breaking a sweat, and the S&W has been my plinker and is a PC tuned gun. Do I sell it or experiment with a beautiful great shooting gun?

Waldo,
I do not believe in selling any DW's, just my belief. If it outshoots the S&W, sell the S&W. I have a 586 and my model 15 outshoots it too. You have a nice revolver, I would keep it and pawn the Smith if needed. The Smith may not yield as much but it would provide some play money.
A man cannot have too many SuperMags

Waldo-
This is scary, you're sort of reading my mind. I have a nice 15 with a mix&match set of barrels ( 4", 6"V, CZ 2 1/2") that I was going to hook a buddy up on for a good price (we both thought $499 was fair) but he just can't do it now or in the forseeable future. I have been thinking about selling off 2 barrels to finance a bright nickle refinish and a set of Zebrawood grips. That bright nickle is just too beautiful.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Waldo, Steve
Wake up you all, are having a bad dream? Sell a DW, are you kidding, they are only going to get harder and more expensive to get. I'm just poking fun of course but think about it long and hard. I have NEVER sold a gun and did not regret it later.

I bought a new 15-2 in 1971, and when I was going over seas for an extended tour ten years later I sold it. I have regretted that sale to this day. It took me a few years to figure the load and bullet wt it preferred, but when I did; it shot practically moa. I killed from squirrel, prairie dogs, rabbit to deer and hogs with that gun. I love my currend model 40, but still miss my first DW.

You guys are right, sell the dime a dozen S&W 686 or the limited production S&W 360Sc 13.5 oz 357 wonder gun. But not the collectible DW, since they don't make them any more a guy is crazy to sell one for sure. Besides with extras I have too much invested to sell.
Steve I think the $250 for the new finish on the DW M15 is the way to go, I do not really need to sell a gun to be able get the finish job done. I just hate the idea of safe queens and may be why I will send the S&W 360Sc off to a new home. The 360Sc is an excellent gun for backpacking or trail bike riding, but it is no range gun for sure with full load 357 magnums in the chamber. 38 +P would be rough for some folks, but shooting 38's in a 357 just never was my thing.

I'm pretty definite that I will sell off 2 barrels (a member here has an interest), and have the 15 refinished. I don't own ANY safe queens, this one might become a safe Princess however. The most beautiful pistol I ever owned was a Smith & Wesson Model 39 in nickle, with walnut grips, and it was devastatingly beautiful. I think a nickle 15 with Zebrawood grips would blow that away.

I'm going to work with my local gunsmith to start, but I did see on Gander Mountain's site that nickle is listed for a revolver for $220, I think.
From what I've read the Electroless Nickle comes out Bright on a polished surface, and Matte on a bead blast
