Hello... My first Revoler and I Love It.  A Dan Wesson .357 Serial #61XXX 4" & 6" Barrels.  It has sat in a  gun safe for 8+ years.  I cleaned, oiled, and went to the Range.

Two Things:

The adjustable rear sight was way off & the Trigger on Double Action would stick.

I followed the  Average Joe Method tuning up your 15-2 as per the Great instructions from Shootist .357. Installed Wolfs 32310 DW small frame revolers shooter pak, using 7.5 spring also EWK Arms DW small frame Hand Spring & DW small parts assortment.  Got the Honing Stone & polished as per instructions.  The action does seem smooth.  The Trigger will at times stick on double action & a time or two on single action as well.  A light touch on the trigger & it releases.  I have removed the Grip, exactly the same. Please any Help would be appreciated.

Thank you

I'm trying to picture what you mean when you say "stuck".   Are you saying it won't fire with normal trigger pressure but it will if you lightly touch the trigger?  Is it possible for you to post a video?  I haven't run across this problem and I'm trying to better understand what is happening.

Initially, I'd say if there is any lube on the internals, remove it and see what happens.

Check the position of this spring through the hammer:

Obviously you've had this thing apart so the first thing I would check is reassembly. I can only presume it worked well before you performed the tune up work. The advice to check the spring per Lohr64 is good advice. If that is unfruitful, you will have to continue to trouble shoot the problem. I assume that this is failure of the trigger to "reset". As in, you pull the trigger, and it sticks at the "full pull" position instead of snapping forward to reset. I suspect that something is binding. To narrow the scope of usual suspects, try recreating the problem. Take the sideplate off and carefully pull the trigger, observing the moving parts. If nothing shows up, put the sideplate back on loosely, pull the trigger, tighten the sideplate, pull the trigger. Repeat until the sideplate is tightened as far as it can be. The machining of the internals of a DW is usually good enough but the frame/sideplate can be a little rough. If putting the sideplate back on and fully tightened into position doesn't recreate the problem, it's something in the internal parts that is snagging or dragging. There are alot of pros here who have worked through these thing, stay in touch, post some photos, there are alot of eyes here who can weigh in.

One of my guns is finicky where lube is concerned, it only likes a light coat of ATF on it's internals. Maybe yours is the same? Also, the trigger stop screw adjustment is a good idea, that limits the amount of over travel the trigger can make when it is pulled.

Judging from your s/n, your screw is probably on the back side of the trigger.
