That looks just about perfect. The only thing I find in error is the barrel tool. That tool is from a later period. I don't believe those were included until the Palmer production years. The original one is plastic with 3 (metal) allen wrenches molded in. The 3 allen wrenches have soft plastic covers. You can find them on both GB and eBay.

EDIT -- Here's an item number for one listed on eBay: 140540242554.
Be sure to ask the seller what caliber it is, though it looks to be .357.

Thanks for the response zoom. I will look into the tool. I guess I am missing the cardboard shipper the case would have shipped in too. There are seven sheets of the rust inhibitor paper, I assume the barrels etc. were all wrapped in them. The revolver is 99.5% condition. I picked it up locally here in the Phoenix area. Of course was told that it had never been fired. But I always question it when I here that statement. I collect mostly Ruger old model single actions and have always been a stickler when it come to correct paper work and packing as far as collectables. Again tnx for the response.

Both of the Dan's I bought new in 1985 came with the plastic tools so I (apparently erroneously) assumed that the metal ones came later. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again.
I also bought my pistol pack cases new at that time. They did not come in a cardboard box. Of course, the dealer could have thrown them away. It would be interesting to know if there was a cardboard box for them that was intended for the end user, and had logo's and such.

There's only two things that look as if they'd be non-original to me. The "L" shaped allen wrench is definitely not a DW item. And as said by others, the barrel wrench was likely purchased later, especially considering Jody's 1981 dated magazine shot.
The original wrench was almost surely one of the earlier styles. Like this, with the portion staked into the handle...
If you want one, there are currently three of these on GB...all by the same overpriced seller. I'd try to talk him down by at least half.
BTW, finding an original shipping box for a PP would be like Barry-O saying tomorrow "Ok, I'm giving the green light to drill for oil in Alaska". Jaggman landed one & I bet another won't surface for another 5 years, if that. Jagg, you're my hero! hehe

Thanks Charger Fan. I should of thought and looked at the 1979 brochure that was in the kit. It shows the wrench that you posted. I did view a 1980 PP and it shows the wrench that I have. I wonder when the transition happend and if there might be some lap over? Again thanks for your information.

I had some time to do reseach on the PP barrel tool. It appears the metal cylinder shaped tool came about in 79-80. Article from may 79 (Shooting Times) pictures it. Another article dated 1980 said the newer round all metal tool and the older Charger Fan mentioned tool above, were both available in 1980. So it appears there could easily been some overlap depending what was handy when the put the PP together. Just my 2 cents.

Wow! That's some overlap. Both of the Dan's I purchased new in 1985 came with the plastic tool. Also, both of my Li'l Dan's which were made many years later in Palmer came with the plastic tools and the cut-outs in the foam were for the plastic tools. That makes the overlap about 10 years.
Another DW anomally.
