I recently was gifted a Dan Wesson Arms Revolver Mod. 15-2VH .38/357 Mag. CTG Interchangeable Barrel Bright Blue Finish in a 6" Bull Barrel/ Vent Rib Serial# indicates 168088 and it does have Monson, Ma on the gun. It is still in original Foam packaging and has never been shot. I will list my questions below.
1. Can I get a rough idea on the manufacture year, some of the things I have seen indicates around 1978?
2. What would it be worth in its original packaging never being shot?
Thank You!

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a great gift. Your born on date sounds accurate. Almost surely 1978. Value is subjective of course. My estimate would be $500.00 to $600.00 for an NIB un-fired 15-2VH6. At auction the sky is the limit of course. Others will be along with more thoughts I am sure.

*EDIT* LB beat me to it!
Yes, 1978 would be about right.
Being unfired is more valuable to a collector, being in excellent condition makes it more valuable to a broader base. Value can be speculative, especially in today's gun buying economy, but without pics I would guess today's value to be in the $550+ range.
