O.K. see the D11 (top gun). This is a gun that I bought off Auction Arms about 3 weeks ago. It was described as having problems cocking the hammer in single action. Someone asked the seller how it acted when pulling the hammer back. He responded that it had been a safe queen for 20 years and if you remove the side plate you probably would find something stuck. Then someone asked if he had a barrel wrench. He said that the barrel nut had flat sides and you could probably use an adjustable wrench. I'm thinking oh lordy. Anyway I won the auction and eventually got the gun to my FFL. You have already guessed it, the grip screw was a half turn too tight. It took this from Sept 19th to Oct. 6th to mail it. My patience was wearing pretty thin.
The W12 with 2 extra barrels at the bottom was on GB a while back. It's the one that was advertised to being found in the walls of a house about 20 miles from Monson. He was supposed to have been an engraver who worked at the factory. The guy who was renovating the old house took it to the cops to see if it was stolen. After 9 months at the cops, they returned it to the owner and he pawned it. This is the story I got. If it ain't true is ought to be. LOL

Totally understand being short on patience, especially when it's a gun,
but seriously 16 days is not bad when you figure in a couple weekends
that shipping dosen't move. Not something I personally do when I ever
sell something but I have seen worse....alot worse.

I've had a couple sellers who shipped guns slowly, too. I agree, it's annoying & aggravating.
Plus, those are usually the guys who are the worst at packaging. There was one package that looked as though it would only have taken a couple more smacks, before the barrel would have been poking through the end of the box.

That shiny 714 I just recently bought--shipped quick...however, there was NO packaging...seriously....the guy just tossed the gun in a small flat rate postal box... no newspaper, no bubble wrap, NOTHING !!!!
I pride myself on my packaging/shipping. I want the buyer to open the box and be happy before he even sees the product.

I must say that I was so relieved that the gun was finally shipped, happy that the grip screw was the only problem and the condition was excellent that I cooled off a little. I really wanted to either call or email him and tell him what I really thought but what good would it have done? Just as well let it pass. I didn't give him any feedback. I really just decided to move on, will not ever buy another one from him but then he was selling off guns that his dad left him when he died so he is not a trader/seller.
When I buy a gun and am happy with the transaction I like to give good feedback and thank the seller for a positive experience.

Ouch, that's bad. The one I was referring to, was shipped a thin box, with maybe 3-4 pieces of newspaper loosely tossed in. The gun was bouncing around in there like a golf ball in a paper sack.
