I would call it a decent deal, only if everything is in super excellent condition. Perhaps a bit on the high side without any extras to go with. If it has an original wood grip that is a plus. If the wood grip is zebra wood that is a bigger plus.

The 1 I bought was a monson era. Blue Palmer barrels are little harder to find. Or at least in my searches they are harder to find. If they are all palmer I'm not sure you could piece that set together for under $1200. And it would take a while and a lot of searching. I apologize for being no help against DWAS.

I don't think 1200 is too much. I would still try to negotiate it down, but I don't think you will go wrong buying it at that price. Of course, that assumes it looks as good in person as in the photo. It would be hard to find a 44 for much less than 600 and the extra barrel assemblies would go for 300 to 500 on ebay anytime. I thin the 44 6inch VH, as shown, is a really sweet shooting piece. My wife loves to shoot it even with full power magnum rounds.
I agree with you all. Not bad, nice gun, lower is better, but once it is yours you will feel that warm feeling of DWAS satisfaction and price will not matter. The 10" VH is hard to get. If you cannot get a 4 " Palmer , get one from EWK. And a 3" too. You can always sell it if a Palmer 4" comes along.
