One reason I initially started collecting DW's was that I thought they were under valued. I've only been watching them for the last couple of years and prices are moving up fast.
I was hoping to get an example of each caliber but that may not be possible at these prices. If I can find them locally they are still reasonable. That's why I picked up the Lil Dan last week.
Going to the big gun show in Chantilly, VA next month hoping to find some deals!

I think if you look at what a new quality brand revolver is selling for now, the used ones begin to look like bargins. The new Ruger Redhawk 4" in .45LC has a retail of almost $700 now .
I've noticed the sale price of used Ruger Speed/Service/Security Six series have gone up about $100 over the past year.
With the Pistol Pac's going for $1000 now, maybe the Dan Wesson revolvers are finally getting the respect they very much deserve.
I think part of the value issue is that Dan Wesson, as is typical with most firearms where the manufacturer is no longer in business or in business under a different name, gets a bad rap with no one to defend them.
I never believed Gun Values which stated that additional barrels for the model 15 were worth 65.00 when they sold new in 1979 for 160. Or that all barrel lengths were worth the same amount, this was at a time when barrels could be sold on E-Bay and a 15" was selling for over $ 800.00.
And, of course, there are a lot of people who are not mechanically inclined and don't understand the barrel lockup nor how to change or adjust a barrel and therefore stay away from them, preferring a Ruger that's "Built like a tank" (and feels like one too, sometimes!)

I just picked up a .44 Mag with 8" barrel at a gun show the other day. I got it for a good price, the guy kept lowering the price while I stood there talking to him. I thought, heck, as long as he keeps going down I'm gonna stay right here. He finally quit going down and I bought it.
I'm curious what a .22 is worth with a 4 or 6" barrel. Has someone got any suggestions?

Thanks for you're information.
The information makes me feel good about the 44 mag I bought but not so good about the .22. I guess I did really good on the 44 mag, as I didn't pay as much for it as you did for the .22. I was hoping to hear a much lower price for the .22's but I asked for it, he he.
Since I'm a tight wad, I was trying to get prepared for what a fellow might ask for a .22. I didn't want to get that prepared, he he.
Thanks,
