As most of you likely know, I have a facebook page for EWK Arms. Since creating the page back in June I've had about 80 people "like" it as of yesterday morning. Last night, the EWK facebook page was going crazy with people liking it (was at about 300 when I went to sleep, and at over 500 hundred this morning!), and I am thinking, what in the world is going on? This morning I got to the bottom of it!
Turns out a picture with a link to the EWK Facebook page got posted on another gun page on facebook with quite a few people on it. I hope this link works so you can see it and what the guys are saying.

I struggled through the first 50 responses, and then gave up. While I personally don't have much use for B/A's over 6", none of the responses I saw seemed to understand the concept of multiple barrel lengths on the same gun.
Facebook is stupid, my only use for it is to see new pictures of my Grand kids and to keep up with a very few close friends
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

First of all, that is a piece of art, a beautiful machine! Secondly, I read a few responses, If you have to ask why?, or have nothing but a carny, ignorant uneducated response, simply means one thing.....You just don't understand! I'm not using " ignorant uneducated " in a derogatory way nor am I being judgmental here. Some of the response's you can clearly with out a doubt tell that they have no idea what a Dan Wesson is even about .
EWK, you do fanominal work

The posters on that site must all drive a Prius. The one guy said the 15" barrel looked impractical? Well hell yes it is impractical but I still want one!
Selfishly I prefer that not too many people develop a liking for Dan Wesson revolvers, lately the big Dogs are starting to price the working man out of some of the rarer models. Hopefully that pic is a great sales tool for EWK products tho!

Most of the people who commented seem to have some sort of phallic obsession. They don't grasp the concept of one gun, many uses. I really liked the guy that thought it was impractical for self defense, no damn skippy its impractical for self defense, it was never intended for that use. It would make a great long range shooter, but I didn't buy mine for that reason, I bought it just because it is cool! And a fair bit less than factory and more useful with the rib top.
Eric, you have done a masterful job of crafting these beauties, don't let a group of uninformed people try to tell you otherwise.

On the comments, I am not the least bit concerned about the people that are saying they don't like it, its stupid, waste of metal, etc. I learned a long time ago you can't bring everyone to believe in the same thing you do, especially on the internet. I think it is interesting to see what "main stream gun guys view point is on our Dan Wessons...if you notice some of them posted pictures/videos/referenced things that are in TV/Movies etc. Which is rather unfortunate as they going off what other people think/do and can't think objectively for themselves. Shame, they don't know what they are missing out on.

Does anybody have a pic of a Dan with an EWK 2" barrel assembly? Post it on that site and see what the comments are! What are they gonna say, "wow the guy who owns that short barrel must be huge!" Or, "what an efficient use of metal!"
Heh!

The scary part is that some of those uneducated people that posted the ignorant responses most likely have guns too! I think its funny that some of the people commented about the gun being a cannon and that it would have too much recoil. I would probably say ... what recoil? But I am basing that on opinion regarding weight of the gun as I have not shot a pistol with a 15" barrel. As stated earlier they just don't understand the concept. I personally would love to have the gun and its a very beautiful piece of weaponry. Hell I would even be satisfied with a 10" one! Carl.

It is Facebook after all. (sarc off)
This is the most realistic and functional response of all!
No one who is serious about life takes FB seriously. Face Book is Springer/Obama/Oprah "fluff"

Greetings
Having shot a 10 inch for 2 years at steel critters (82 & 83) I can attest that extra 4 inches makes hitting 200 meter chickens a bit easier. Plus with a stout load of 296 under a 180 gc seated out to the first grease groove it picked up 48 fps (avg on a croni) from the 6 inch barrel making rams far easier to knock down.
Funny I have never had a desire for a 15 or even 12 incher. They do look interesting hanging out there. But I just do not see one in my future. Rather I pluked down some greens on the "intergral scope models". Those will see good use smacking ground hogs out in East ILLinois fields next time north.. hopefully next summer.

I just read this thread. Is that bbl a waste of good gun metal? Probably Is it cool? You bet your bippy it is! That's what I call a 3 second gun. Pick it up and you've got about 3 seconds to get the sights aligned and the shot off before the gun pulls you face down in the dirt.
Oh Daddy I want one!!!

I've only been to FB twice...both times were from forwarded links. I don't have a single nice thing to say about FB that may be construed as positive, sorry. I harbor lots of negative towards the FB "machine"...however I'll concede to end my resentment here.
Eric, you're a great guy & I'll always have your back on this interweb thingie!

I use FB pretty selectively, I have a limited circle of friends (including a few from DWF), and I will "unfriend" the people as needed.
It does give me some connection with family, friends, and friends of friends, which allows me to stay current with the lives of some interesting people.
FaceBook is like any other aspect of our information/electronic age: understand what it is, utilize it's strengths and guard against it's weaknesses.

I tossed a "like" your way tonight. I'm very pleased with my 2.5" ehb and I shoot better with it than I do with many 4" revolvers.
A good friend is wondering why I spend time and money on a revolver (Glock guy)... hard to explain in terms that he'd appreciate, but my Dan's ability to make ragged little holes does raise his eyebrows.
Wouldn't it be great if all wars could be fought just by the a-holes who started them?
