I trust the members here so is a $450 or so price on a good condition shooter grade revo in this price range? Blued, finger grip (combat?, after market) no box or tools basically buying for a range toy.

Not great price but not bad. You can use a socket wrench for the exterior nut. You might want to upgrade the hand and hand spring to the later version with the slot in the back for the end of the spring. Prices seem to have gone up lately.

I'd say it's fair for both parties, as long as it's in good shape.

Thanks for the info! And thanks for verifying that a 12pt socket can remove the barrel nut. I looked at one for sale on Ebay and thought that's what it looked like.

I would say that's a fair price.  The offerings on Gunbroker are way high IMO.

I bought it! Lock up was very good, mech it seems sound. One gouge under the cylinder on the frame and a few light scratches here and there but all in all a good range gun/truck gun. I came in under the number so I'm happy with the purchase. Taking it to the range tomorrow and I'll post up some pic's even tho it's just a boring old Model 12.laugh

Really soft shooter, everything works just fine! Have to get acclimated to the sights.

Took my PM3-P for practice today also.

Had a day off and hit the range with 2 DW's. Re did the grip on the W12 and was alone at the range so I had better concentration. This thing shoots like a dream. Now I definitely need more trigger time with revo's for sure but the trigger on this is sweet as are all of my DW revo's but I shoot mainly SA. DA I need a few thousand rounds to get in the comfort zone! lolsmile Also took one out I have never shot before and may not have been shot since the factory testing. After 8 shots to sight in I dumped the remaining 27 rounds from the box pretty much in one ragged hole. The flyer was me. This is a very early production model from Bob's tenure. One thing I can vouch for is they have always made a very accurate 1911.

Nice shooting!  What distance?  I see 35’ on top…35-yards?

Very nice shooting!!   I hardly ever go to a range, I have my own in my backyard.  I typically shoot steel at around 25-30 yards.  My targets are 3”, 4”, 6”, 8”, a large 28” gong, and a dueling tree.  It’s very rewarding to hear the steel ping!
