Don’t normally see Dan Wesson’s at gun shows, today I saw 2.

Saw a Model 15-2 w/10 inch barrel in fabulous shape (nothing else), asking $650.

Then as I was about to leave I spied a pistol pack in the case (cloth was gone and the foam deformed); 15-2 wearing an 8 incher, spare 6, 4, 2½ inch barrels (everything looked like new), extra grip, barrel tool, 4 or 5 extra front sight blades, asking $975!

Me, I had just blown my 2nd job gun budget on a used Marlin 880 SS bolt action rifle, Stainless, heavy barrel, 22LR with a Simmons Whitetail scope (5-8x36);

and a new SP101 357Mag (cc/contoured hammer);

and a S&W 36 no dash (Chief’s Special) in nickel, round butt. Checking the serial number on the net I figure it is a 1982 model.

Oh well, I was happy…   but it sure would be nice to have a bottomless money bag!

Planning on taking pics tomorrow but may go to the range instead lol2

Nice group shot.  Your Dan looks awesome with the black grip.  How do you like the service grips on the 36?  I tried a set on my 60 and took them off because it jumped around in my hand.

S&W 36; You do have keep a grip on it. I've ordered some rosewood bantam boot grips for it. That should make it interesting. range-time

Yes, we do tend to take our blessings for granted . Went to the range today. Very pleased with the SP101 and  S&W 36.  Smitty was brutal with the +P's. I did get some Pachmayr compac proffessional grips for the 36 that should help with shooting comfort. Haven't tried them yet though. That SP101 is sweet!

I was as the Reno Crossroads gun show today (18 Feb) and saw a pistol pack (excellent condition....but $1,600!) and wound up getting a Monson .357Mag with 6" barrel.  Blued, great condition.   Non original grips, though, otherwise in great shape with excellent trigger pull in both SA and DA.  $350 with holster.  Image Enlarger

357 Maxi, 375 SM, 445 SM (blue & SS), 44Rhino & .357 Mags V15 & W12, .460 Rowland, pre-CZ Pointman 1911 .45acp, modern Guardians in 9mm & .45acp, Pointman 9mm and Razorback 10mm.   Always on the lookout for something new!
