Hey guys, first post. Looking to buy a "new" un-fired 715 and apparently no warranty would apply because I wouldn't be the original owner...even though the warranty card hasn't been filled out and submitted yet. Is that the general understanding of the DW 5-year warranty policy?
Thanks in advance!

"New" and "unfired" are not the same thing. I'm sure you have checked out the DW warranty posted on their website, but for posterity, let's refresh our memories;
All Dan Wesson firearms are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year on wooden parts and surface treatment and five (5) years on other parts to the original purchaser.
First question; where and from whom are you purchasing the said pistol? The factory may not have a record of a previous sale for this serial number.

Thanks...I purchased from a private party who bought it new a year or so ago but never fired it and never returned the warranty card. I don't even have the revolver in my possession yet but just wanted to confirm what I thought. Was at first thinking that I'd have a warranty if I returned the card, but after reading the expressed warranty it doesn't sound like it.
Appreciate the help
