And I just got offered a 715 in the box with an extra cylinder in 38 Spcl (WTF?)...  I can pick it up for $400 + ship... Sounds like a deal to me... Thoughts?

Should you ever want to turn that 715 into a 709, you'll have the cylinder for it Big Grin

Pictures are grainy (cell phone camera?) but the gun still looks good.

On second thought, Buy Now  As you will have the only model 715 that is a mirror image of everyone elses rofl

Looks like both cylinders are stainless, eh? I'm-a-thinkin' somebody's been doin' some parts swappin'. 😛

What little I can see in those bass-akwards pics, it looks like a decent gun.

Hey-- quit poking fun at my left handed gun ... Laugh.  The guy said the cylinder is original to the gun and is for 38 special....why you would want a 38 spcl cylinder in a 357 --who knows..

I figure with the extra cyl, zebra grips, and box it is probably worth buying.

The really great about those left-handed revolvers is that they don't spit empty brass in your face. rofl

I, too, can't see why anyone would want a 38 Special cylinder on a target model revolver.  IIRC there were a few places where PPC was limited to 38 Spl.  Most of the security services where 38 Spl was the limit, used the fixed sight model 8 or 708.

My Action Cup will only chamber 38 Spl Confused

After you guys edducated me about cartridge lenghts and cylinder throats, I would LOVE to have a .38spcl. cylinder for ANY .357 mag I owned ! I guess they need to be factory timed.

It's been known to happen.Wink

So you're saying this guy sez the cylinder is original to the gun...maybe it's just me, but that gun looks to me to be blued & both cylinders are stainless. Or is it just my monitor playing tricks?Broken Computer

Beyond that, if the .38 cylinder is original to the gun, then the shroud should be marked .38 Spl, of course. That would effectively make it a Model 9 or 709.

I sure hope we get some decent pics soon.Big Grin

When you go to pick up those computer speakers, make sure you swing down the monitor aisle and pick up a new one rofl... It looks all SS to me--but then again, all I got were those crappy pics...maybe it is the elusive 715/09 combo gun Laugh

The top picture lighting causes it to be questionable but the bottom one really looks to be blue with stainless cylinders to me. Jaw Dropping

Either way though, with two cylinders it is a solid price I would think.

You are kidding right. Who would want a 4" 715 with 2 cylinders? ridiculous. So when you get it, pack it up, and send it to me to save yourself the embarrassment.Wink poke

We have seen our share of terribly fuzzy, blurry, SMALL, gun pics the last couple of months...

I'll take some good ones when it shows up--guy said his FFL shipped today, so it should be here soon.

Now I have to go downstairs and see what empty briefcase I'm going to use Wink
