SigWolf, are you sure?
That style grip and a square hole normally mean small frame.

Well, I'm a raw novice with regard to Dan Wesson revolvers. I don't have a large frame revolver on which to try it. However, I put it on my model 15 and although it seemed to fit there was a good deal of space between the grip and the frame behind the trigger. So I assumed they were indeed for a large frame.

I believe that closer inspection will reveal that that grip is, indeed, for a small frame. I have never seen a DW factory grip for the large frames with the stamped checkering.
I may be wrong. I've been wrong before. I will be again.

Well, I guess I better try it again and see.

Well, this would not be one of those times!! You are correct. I tried them again and they do fit a small frame. SOOOOOOO, the Karma will continue. Thanks for pointing out my error.

I'll be darned. I discovered when I bought my first Hogue wood grip that they were made from two pieces, and extremely well done, i might add. However, I never noticed that the large frame grips have square holes.
I did notice that in order to get them to seat, you have to pistol-whip something firm with a soft surface like a carpeted floor. Then when you want to see if they really do have a square hole, you get to experience a whole new adventure in the science of levers.
