New member and new owner of a used Dan Wesson.Mine is a model 15V, I am fairly sure. Blue, 8" barrel, Vent rib on top of barrel, but no full length lug. Standard handgrip.Removable front site and adj. rear. Shoots really good.
Can anyone tell me what a 15-2 is and how it differs from a 15.....also, where can one find a bandoleer style holster made of cordura-nylon for an unscoped 8" revolver??
Thanks, Pete/MS
Pete, see the post I just added "What Model do I have?"
That will help explain the model some, one problem we have with DW is that every time a gun manufacture goes out of business or sells the govermanet BATF confiscates all records and I think this has happened three times, so there is no way the current CO. can help much with date of manufacture or answers of this kind.

I think you will find that the 'earlier DWA's were just the 14 (service) and 15 (target ) and there were improvements made in the early 70's around 1974 to the lockwork as well as the sights, so made it the -2 and now that CZ-USA owns them they are again using just the number 15 ,no dash....obviously the older ones were made in Monson, Ma and should be marked on the receiver as such. Being an 8in just 'add' the barrel length to the end of the numbers 15-2V8.
More details can be found if you go back and read the articles written in the American Handgunner back in the early 1978 (Jan-Feb issue)
