Was shooting my 715-FB yesterday, and every time I pull the trigger, I fall more in love with it. The balance of the 3" heavy barrel feels perfect, and the weight of the gun soaks up the recoil. I was shooting some self-defense 357's, one handed, in DA mode, and the gun was a joy to shoot. 38's in a 2-handed grip is just unreal.
So, I got to thinking. I am going to start reloading for it, as the 38 / 357 is a super easy round to start reloading with.
Now, I know there are some loads out there that specify "for Ruger revolvers only" as I know those guns are over-built.
Got me wondering though. What is my revolver capable of shooting? How hot of a load can this gun handle safely?
Of course, a pic of the gun

Anything Ruger Rated is GTG in a Dan Wesson. Buffalo Bore rates DW similar to Ruger in any .357 Mag loading they do.
BTW- I have something for you, check PM

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Cool, great to know that my DW can handle that kind of punishment. Makes me less worried when I shoot regular 357 Mag loads through it.
Will I ever use rounds that hot? No. But it is still nice to know the gun can handle it.
Thanks for the reply!
