My mother in law just passed away and I got this gun from her estate she got the gun from her brother when he passed away several years ago and tried to sell it here in California and no gun store or pawn shop would buy it. probably because it is not on Calif approved gun list. Now I have it and would like an estimated value for it. here are some pictures I am
sure this gun has never been fired after purchase.August 28, 2009
Non-Roster handguns cannot be purchased or sold by dealers - that's why they can't take it. You can still sell it privately - the transaction just needs to be performed through a dealer. The dealers and pawn shop owners that you spoke to should have told you this. You'll get more for it selling it privately anyway. There is a good forum, "Calguns.net", that you can post it on for sale. Good luck with it and let us know how you make out.
My last background check took 30 seconds. If I buy more than one gun a week the FFL has to fill out a multiple gun document that is meaningless. Our Sheriff gets it and he is a strong 2cd Ammendment supporter. No state registration or permit needed. Yankees beware, everyone in Florida is carrying a concealed weapon. Except liberals.
On another note, not a box of ammo in any store. The only guns in gunshops are those no one wants.
Dave? Beware a phenomenon called DWAS. Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome. Collecting Dans can become an obsession. With that being said, I would keep that one unfired and immediately buy another one to shoot.
