Damn, I want one of those! As it now stands, I can reload for both 15's with one set of dies and the S&W Model 52 with another pre staged set on the same shell plate. Once I get the awesome Super Mag, I just need another turret and one more set of dies!.
IHMSA, does the SM like H 2400?

Nah, shell plates are too much work... I used to do that, but then I just bought another progressive press...then another one....then another one.... Like I said in another post DWAS also extends to reloading equipment

Shoot,
I know what you mean about shell plates, that's the beauty of it, no screwing around with changing shell plates! Just a quarter turn on the turret with the die set you don't need, pop out, pop in the set with the SM dies all positioned from loading the previous time and go! Zippo! one press, loading for three totally different guns with one shell plate! I made my press portable so I can load on the deck, in the kitchen, garage, etc. so far one press gets the job done, maybe I'll get another sometime but not that high on the fun stuff list yet.
How does your SM like 2400? I picked up a box of 180 gr. Hornady XTPs while at the Bass Pro last time, I'm getting prepared for the day I get one!

palo,
I never tried 2400 in my SuperMags. Two reasons...I never had any of that powder on my shelves, but mostly because the silhouette books recommended other powders at the time the .357 SuperMag came out.
The recommendations were H-110, W-296, IMR-4227, IMR-4198 and H-4227 mostly, with 180-200 grain bullets.

Interesting, I wonder why 2400 was not on that list, not to say there isn't a good reason but this powder is a favorite of many for .357 magnum loads. I have a 1992 Hercules Reloaders' Guide that has silhouette loads for this powder. For the 180 gr. it suggests 16.8 gr. 39,000 c.u.p., 1,590 FPS. That's the reason I asked, plus the fact that I have quite a bit of it on hand. Thanks for the reply.
