Hello there,

Yesterday i bought a DW, stainless steel Serial number: 357S001417.

Now i'm wondering what Model it is and want to get more details about the gun. For example the year it was build.

Also trying to find a dealer in Europe (Netherlands) who delivers parts for my DW. Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Marcel

Welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania!

Your revolver is a model 715, with a 6 inch vented heavy barrel, making it a 715 6VH.

Looking at our serial # chart I would guess it was made around 1990-1 or so.

I do not know about getting parts in Europe, but if you have any other questions that you can't find the answer to by reading around on the DWF, just ask away.

lonwolf pretty much said it all, you have a beautiful 715.

What parts do you think you need? International shipping of parts is always a problem, unfortunately for our worldwide Members. There are simply too many restrictions on shipping what is basically a machine part from USA to anywhere else.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Good looking 715, grips shouldn't be a problem, not sure on the BA's!   dwf-welcome

Thanks Dave,

The grips are really no problem, but the hardware is. Hope i won't be needing something in the near future. Maybe something can be deliverd trough ebay? Would like to have a 4" barrel and shroud. Well, i'll stay looking.

Had the fortune that the gunshop still had a DW originele guncase with tool and manual patch and gave it to me for free.

Grtz.
