Thanks Charger Fan, I'm curious what this gun originally came packaged with. I guess what I'm saying is, if the gun came with 3 barrels, what else would it have came with when it was bought brand new? Barrel wrench, cleaning kit, etc? I was wondering so maybe I can try and obtain the rest of the pieces that would have came with this "kit". Thank you guys for being so helpful, this forum has been an excellent information database.

The gun itself would have originally included a plastic barrel wrench, feeler gauge & instruction booklet in a foam clamshell container. If it came as a Pistol Pac originally, it would have included the wrench, gauge & booklet, a Pac case (of course), and at least one extra BA (more were available as an option), plus a patch & extra sights or grip. Owners could mix-n-match a little here, when ordering.
Yours may have been a PP originally, or it may have just been the gun & a previous owner ordered the extra BA's sometime later.

Michael, we could probably help you out if we had some description of what you have, and pics would be even better. In the meantime you can learn a lot by reading around the DWF. Start with FAQ's

Probably 79' Ernie. The M 15's have adj. rear sights. to upload pics, click attachment below the box, you'll get a new box below that, then click add files. from there you should be able to navigate thru explorer to you photo, once you make your selection then hit start upload. you may have to resize them before upload or they could be huge depending on file size..

This thread should be brought back out front again for some of the new peoples. Maybe some of you guys can fill in some missing photos for the list. Like Terry Falls just showed us a beautiful 709 that could be put up. I don't think he'd mind.

Mike, all it helped is to fill me with desire, fueled my DWAS, and set up cognitive dissidence within my already seething brain. Just fooling. I'm am a big boy. I can look at gun porn and not go to the dark side. When confronted with my inadequacies I can still fondle my guns and feel better.

Reading on another forum about the 15s that have the set screw (?) in the trigger and not in the frame. My 15 ser #9722x has it in the trigger and my other 15 ser#36932x has it in the frame. What, if anything, does this tell you about model and date of manufacture? Still working on photos of my Dans, hopefully I will get it together soon.

That may be a little questionable too. My 15-2 was bought new in 78' ser. 139xxx, trigger over travel screw [what I call it] is in the trigger. It seems I remember some saying earlier dates in frame and some later dates in the trigger. Any body else want to way in on this on. Somebody, whos been here longer than me...?

It's is not clear exactly when the overtravel screw moved from the trigger to the frame. Similarly, earlier -2 models had recessed chambers that enclosed the case rim.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Looking for help identifying my DW357 and how old it is. Made in Monson, Mass, s/n 23473, other numbers are 10D 11-S, might be an 11-5 but think it is an S. From what I have read so far, though I didn't make it through all 10 pages I think it is a service revolver. It has a 4 inch barrel. Is that is what is being called a pork chop?

Needs to be re-blued...I've had it for about 20 years. All the numbers are on the frame behind the cylinder so they are a bit hard to see.
Unless you want it to look new, I wouldn't touch the blue. nice plum petina.
