Hi! I browsed around here trying to find more info on my gun but to no avail. Maybe I didn't browse long or hard enough...Any way, I'm new here and I'm really happy to have found this group. I love my gun and I've had it for about 3 years. I'd just like to hopefully narrow down what date my gun was manufactured or get any and all information on it that I possibly can. Thank you!
P.S. I was cleaning my gun last night and noticed the logo emblem was sticking out a bit, when I went to push it back in it had turned a bit. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

No worries this is common. Remove the grip from the revolver then look in the cavity where the grip stud would go. You should see a small hole where the back of the medallion goes. Use a right angle tool such as an o ring pick, or a small allen wrench will do sometimes, to push the medallion out from the inside. If the medallion is loose a small drop of glue may be needed. Just remember to be sparingly with the glue as you may want to remove them someday.
There is a whole thread somewhere on here discussing this.

Guys, just picked up my first Dan Wesson. Sort of understand the model designation. It should be a Model 14 or 14-2? Serial number is 282xxx.
I got the gun, metal barrel wrench, and an aftermarket holster.
Any idea on date of manufacture? From reading, I am guessing early 80's?
I have read that these style grips are desirable, but would they be origional?

That is a model 14-2, date of manufacture was 1980 and those are not original Dan Wesson grips.
